Mighty Mini Album - New Edition

Occasionally we come across a design that is so much fun that we want to make it over and over, and this album seems to be it for me!  Last year I introduced this Mighty Mega Mini Album to you in three other designs, A Beautiful Baby (Graphic 45's Little Darling paper), a Spooky Halloween, here... and  in an elegant Black and White Romantic version.  This handy 5.5 x 6.5 size is perfect for seasonal or special occasion events, and is ideal for working with one pack of paper, such as this one from Stampin' Up. 

A friend asked me to make one for a graduation gift in purples and blues.

Add some butterflies from K and Co., Texture from a Darice embossing Folder...

Lots of interest and space for photos and journaling in easy to assemble stacked pockets...

Two-Sheet Show Off 2.0

OooLaLa!  The Two Sheet Show-Off Album is back with a Tres Magnifique look! The cover is so elegant and features a beautiful design feature from the designer paper.

So tonight's UStream class will be creating this album with just TWO sheets of 12x12 paper! If you don't have the tutorial you can download it here. The tutorial is a 17 page, photo laden, step-by-step manual that will show you exactly how to create this album, however in class we will be adding the new cover style. On The Road Again Album

With a nod to a favorite song from Willie Nelson, I have decided to call my newest project

ON THE ROAD AGAIN!

 It is the perfect album for your summer vacations, honoring Dad with memories of his first car, capturing photos of learning to drive, "are we there yet?", race week-end, bringing baby home from the hospital, one tank trips, restoration of a classic, off-roading, honeymoons, moving .... all of those things that we associate with our love affairs with our cars and trucks....

 Yes, you have the option of finishing the back of your album as a car....

 or a truck! 

 And, inside is LOADED with tons of interactive pages!  There is so much room in here that you will be totally surprised at how many photos and journaling spaces you will find!!

 There are flaps, pockets and tags GALORE!

My book was finished in Americana paper, because it will be for "3 Chicks on A Trip" as two friends and I went to Washington, DC!  It was an amazing trip, and we have such fabulous memories to share... and some really funny pictures to put in our albums! 

My next version will be all about a rental car trip across rural northern Argentina! 

You will be able to get your tutorial, with the templates and cut all of the pieces yourself, and decorate the inside to suit the theme of your trip.

OR you can order the COVER KIT to complete your tutorial, and it will include everything to make your cover and binding, as well as the tutorial.  (You will still provide the paper for the inside pages, as I won't know what theme you want to present for your album.)

Sweet Cakes Album

Designing Women II or BOO to YoU!!!

 What have I been thinking?  This spooky little album has been lurking around my studio for a while now, and I thought I had brought it to you before, but apparently it has been haunting my memories, and not my blog!

 It has great diagonal pages, full size insert tags, journaling spots, and cool hinges.

And the really fun part, is it is the exact same album as the Designing Women album I made back in the summer!  I now have the tutorial ready, and you can get it and make them for yourself ...  Just click the Buy Now button on the left side of my blog.  I will be having a UStream Class on this project on Tue., Oct. 25th, so you can create right along with me!  I will be doing a completely new look!

Cuttlebug Challenge-Be Inspired #49

My Lollipop Birthday Party Mini-Album!

It's the third week of our Birthday Party Palooza, and this week we are making MINI ALBUMS! My Lollipop Theme was really fun for this project. I've done a little tutorial for you today.

First I started with Cricut's 12 x 24' paper and cut a 3 3/4 inch strip. Then, using my Scor-It, I scored even 3 3/4 inch squares all the way across, until there was just a scrap left at the end. There were 10 panels.

I folded mountains and valleys with each score line.

Next I covered two four inch square coasters in designer paper. (Make sure there is enough overhang to go under the folded pages to be glued to the inside)



With the front and back adhered to the ends of the folded pages, it's time to decorate the album.


Multi-fold views of the photo pages, as well as front and back covers.

Inside pages decorated with MS Loop punch, Cuttlebug Embossing folders, K and Co. birthday cuipboard stick on embellishments, rhinestones, and the lillipops that I cut with Cricut Accent Essentials cartridge by Provo Craft.

I hope you are inspired to try a mini album of your own, and remember: Mamas...don't let your pictures grow up to be jpgs....get them out of the camera and the computer, and on to some scrapbook pages! Record those memories...A story not recorded is destined to be lost.
