Whoopsi Daisy and EAD Designs

Welcome! It's wonderful Wednesday, and we've got a double Whammy! The card above is this week's WhoopsiDaisy Design Team entry, for the challenge of Ribbons and Bows. This fun birthday card features several STICKERZ that were colored with Sharpies. The butterfly was colored, and then adhered to heavy acrylic. After trimming, bend the wings and antennae into the desired postion and adhere with strong glue dots.

A gatefold card was just right for showcasing this large STICKERZ medallion. This time I colored the image with Sakura Souffle' pens. This gives a great dimensional opaque look to the precious cupcakes. (Note* Smooch Inks do not dry on these stickers, so I recommend other mediums) Sakura glitter pens added great shimmer to the sticker, and dried nicely. I cut the shape and frame from the Cricut Cake Basics cartridge, then embellished it with heat set gems and the I-Rock.

Magnificent Butterfly

Isn't this GORGEOUS?!? At the cricut swarm in Ocala this past weekend, this is one technique that we shared, and I loved it!!! These butterflies are gold filigree stickers, and by layering one on vellum, coloring the back, and then doing the second layer on clear acetate, this fabulous creature emerges! Every one that we did was different, but just as breath-taking! The edge of the card was painted wtih a Krylon Gold Leaf pen...also SO beautiful.
