Summertime Album Class

This is the project I have created with the flip flops I gave you last week, and will be using in this week's class.  It is a brand new alternate cover to be used with the pages from the "On the Road Again" Album from a few weeks ago!  How fun :o)

 The album is designed to hold LOTS of full sized photos and journaling, and can really be designed for any theme.  My granddaughter is visiting, and will be making an album like this to take home with all of her summer fun recorded inside!

Here I have printed the flip flops at 2 1/2 inches and paper pieced them, then created a pocket on the front for the tag.

Finger Puppets from Digital Images!

Have you ever wondered if you can print digital images on fabric?  Well, you can!!!

These are the finger puppets I did from DIGITAL DELIGHTS Thanksgiving and other collections to create PORTER'S PLAYHOUSE PUPPET THEATER!

Studies have shown that any experience where a kid uses his imagination is one of the best growth tools, and puppets are the very best at opening their little creative minds.

These were very easy to make, and I've even used a picture frame to make the theater.

Stars and Stripes Heavy Metal

It's Tutorial Tuesday at Digital Delights, and I am pleased to do another fun video for you!  Today's project is a metallic liner for an insulated drinking cup.

New DT Position :)

It's my honor to announce that I am the new Tutorial Artist at Digital Delights, and today is my first video! Hoppy Mother's Day!

Today is a day for honoring our Mom's and those who are like Mom's in the lives of children.  I am so blessed to have a wonderful Mom, and I get to visit with her pretty often.  I spoke with her on the phone a little while ago.  I won't get to see her today because I am at the hospital with my hubby, as he recovers from knee replacement surgery.  It's Okay... we'll get together soon.  I love my Mom so much, and am so glad to have her as a very special friend, too.  I am also blessed to have two very special daughters and a daughter in law that are also great Moms!  If you have been following my blog, you know that we have two brand new babies in the family in the past month or so.  Here are the cards I made for the girls :)  They are digital images that I downloaded, altered, and then added Copic colors.

This is for Tori, and her four little tadpoles!  Hoppy Mother's Day!

This one is for Barbie, and has her two little froggies sitting with her!

And, this is to honor Brianne's very FIRST Mother's Day!

I have made something special to put in each card... I don't want to spoil the surprise...you'll all have to wait to find out what it is!

Pirate Presley Kicks Booty!

Arrrrr, Mateys!!  It's New Release Day over at Digital Deligths by LoubyLoo, and it looks like the place is overrun with Pirates!!

You will find Presley, Prissy, a whole assortment of accessories, and even a complete set of sentiments, as well as a wonderful array of coordinated pirate papers. 

My project uses three digital images... Presley the Pirate, the treasure chest, and the Pirates Kick Booty sign.  The beauty of digital images is being able to print them any size you like, as well as being able to flip them so you have a mirror image. 

For my treasure chest I printed it twice, once in flip, so I could have a front and back,

then added a 2 inch wide cardstock strip, scored and folded 1/4 inch all the way along each side, adhered down one side, across the bottom, and back up the other side, to create an open box. 

(Sorry I don't have a picture to show this... I am away from home, and those photos are on the other computer!  If you have questions, please leave a comment, and I'll add more when I get home!)

I trimmed the finger/thumb line on Presley's hand so he could hold the Kick Booty sign, and secured him to the side of the treasure chest.  Add candy, and you've got great Booty!!

Everything was colored with Copic markers, and the gems were highlighted with Smooch inks.  It's too bad the lighting doesn't show how shimmery they really are!

Katie Renz is a young mother with three small children, and she has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer. She has the most wonderful attitude and outlook... but she needs our help. A group of artists have banded together to create a wonderful package of digital images, which have been grouped together, and you can purchase them to help Katie and her family. A Child Is Born

It is the day for a very special New Release at Digital Delights by Louby Loo!

This is illustrator, Wendy's, precious Holy Family along with the stable, and their faithful and awed companions, the sheep and the camel. This digital set can be found here.

Each individual image was colored with Copic markers, then cut out. The background is cut from the new Cricut Christmas Village cartridge. Each of the village pieces was edged in Elmer's Gold Leafing. Add a touch of Smooch liquid pearl for the star, and the sentiment, "for Unto Us a Child is Born", and the image is ready to be layered with adhesive dimensional. It was very easy to do...Just add two dots to the baby, so he stands above his mother and father. The addition of an opulent braided cording around the bottom finishes this 5x7 wish for someone on your Christmas card list!

Be Inspired #98 Under The Sea

Our theme for Cuttlebug Challenge this week is Under the Sea, and it sure feels like that around here! We have had so much record breaking rain, that I couldn't get enough light to get a decent photo of this cute little image! I used Copics, Smooch pearlized inks, and some liquid pearls on this project. Their eyes are shining with a Sakura clear glaze pen.

I love digital images! They are so easy to work with. You always have the file in your computer, and they can be printed out whatever size you need, and you can stack them with other images, if you are creating a scene. And if you are doing something like these seahorses, you can use your flip feature and print them out in mirror image. Try that with a rubber stamp!

I also printed each image twice, then cut and pieced different layers, so there was dimension to her face, the front part of her hair, and of course, her shimmery scales and fins. Easy and Fun :)

Just Ducky Easter Wishes!

Today's challenge at Cuttlebug Challenge is to create a Pop-Up card. Now, we all know there are lots of different kinds of pop-ups that pop up out there, but this is my favorite kind :)

It folds flat, into a regular 4 1/4 x 5/1/2 envelope (A2 size), but when you pull on the little ribbon tabs that are sticking out the top .................

POP!
Out pops your message, and so does the smile on the face of the one receiving the card!

World Card Challenge

Happy World Card Making Day! I hope you are crafting, blog hopping and having fun!!

This is my family ~ well, my grandkids and their Dad! I used Little Rascals, Funky Fairies, DZ Doodles, and Annie Lang digital images, inserted to a Word document and sized to proper proportion. The Haunted House is a Cuttlebug Folder embossed onto Core'dination Black Magic paper, which I "debossed" so I could cut out the shape and sand the raised shutters, windows, and other accents. The grass shapes were cut pieces of green paper, which I embossed with the Spider Web Cuttlebug folder.

The popped-up kids were all colored with Copic markers, and accented with some bling. The moon is a sticky paper embellishment with added MS gold glitter.

The funny sentiment inside says "DAD, do you ALWAYS have to go Trick or Treating with us??"

One BIG Happy Scarecrow Family

DZ Doodle images has a challenge contest going on, and offered this cute little scarecrow freebie download. I decided to copy it three times, in different sizes, which is one of the great advantages of digi stamps. By coloring each differently, and adding a couple of feminine touches to "mom", and cutting and rearranging "dad's" arm, I was able to create a nice little family from the same image. I colored them with Copics, and the papers are from Debbie Mumm's Harvest and Holidays Collection.

Happy Birthday Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot!

This is the image that Mo, at DigitalPenciltoo was kind enough to draw especially for us, to celebrate our first birthday at Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot! Can you believe that in September it will have been one year since this great blog got started? Wow!

Anyway, I was so honored to be able to color this adorable child to be used as the ad for our upcoming month long celebration!! You do not want to miss out! There will be on-going events, challenges, inspirations, tutorials, prizes, and lots of fun, fun, fun!!!
