Easter Bunnies

Here's a funny little bunny box!

  I am teaching a class next week, and am working on some Easter projects, and wanted to share this Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge project with you...

this is my own take on the ice cream cone cut.

(For the class I will cut her in a bigger size.)

Here she is from the side, where you can see her cotton tail,

and a bit of the dimension of her face.

The top and bottom sections come apart, and are the perfect presentation for a special goodie!

The ribbon will be part of my April Ribbon kit.

A carry over from last week...

here is the "Boy" version of the card I did for my

Alcohol Markers class.  I have decided to frame these and

hang them in my granddaughter's room. 

One last note.  My apologies to those of you who were there for my class Tuesday evening.  I hope you found the message that Kathy was kind enough to post for me.... that I was in the ER with Bob the Babe, and that I was unable to have class.  He is home now, and resting comfortably.  Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers.  Remember there is no class on the 13th, but I will be back on the 20th with a lot of goodies for you!

A Friend Is ...

 I have another card prepared for my class on using Alcohol markers, and this amused me... so I wanted to share it with you.  The post I did earlier had a sweet scene with the bunny and ducks that used 9 different markers.  Care to guess how many markers I used on this springy little message?

 (I will finish the inside with "share with; cry with; laugh with; shop with; room with; or care) depending on the occasion, when I send it.  This is a combination of two Close To My Heart stamp sets. The ribbbon is from my March Ribbon Kit.

Here they are.... 31 Markers!!! Made me laugh :)

Exploring Alcohol Inks

This sweet image was colored with Alcohol markers...

now, the question is was it with Copics, Sharpies, or Bics???

This darling old Daisy Kingdom stamp was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink

onto Beckett white cardstock, then colored with alcohol markers.

Thanks to Gina K at StampTV for the recessed image layout inspiration.

Add a satin ribbon from my April Ribbon Kit (coming soon!), a few Prima gems,

and it's a charming card to welcome Spring!

                       Here are a couple of examples done with the different types of markers. 

 I tried to keep it in the same color ranges, and the same number of makers,

 so you could see the comparison.

This photo shows the Copics used on one of the images....

....and this shows the array of Bic markers I used on the other.

Whoopsi Daisy and EAD Designs

Welcome! It's wonderful Wednesday, and we've got a double Whammy! The card above is this week's WhoopsiDaisy Design Team entry, for the challenge of Ribbons and Bows. It's also featuring EAD Designs Stickerz for BettyBee's Buzz! EAD creates awesome vinyl wall decor and colored and black and white Stickerz. This fun birthday card features several STICKERZ that were colored with Sharpies. The butterfly was colored, and then adhered to heavy acrylic. After trimming, bend the wings and antennae into the desired postion and adhere with strong glue dots.

A gatefold card was just right for showcasing this large STICKERZ medallion. This time I colored the image with Sakura Souffle' pens. This gives a great dimensional opaque look to the precious cupcakes. (Note* Smooch Inks do not dry on these stickers, so I recommend other mediums) Sakura glitter pens added great shimmer to the sticker, and dried nicely. I cut the shape and frame from the Cricut Cake Basics cartridge, then embellished it with heat set gems and the I-Rock.

Hang In There! I'm coming ....

This little fellow is a digi stamp from the talented hands of Dustin Pike. I have colored him with the Copics and Bic markers show below, and even flocked the cattail! The background paper had the leaf pattern on it, and to give dimension, I used markers and scraps, and colored more leaves, adding shading, and then cut them out. Using foam dots, I placed them on the card to give interest and texture. I also used the markers to lightly color in a few of the leaves in the background.

The "Hang In There" sentiment comes from a retired SU! set of stamps that my daughter found for me at a yard sale! SCORE!!!

Just three more days to CHA, and I'm already getting some exciting reports from some gals that have already been there to a couple of the parties! FUN things are going on!!!

I got a 4 GB card for my camera this week, so I shouldn't run out of memory!! Let me know what you want me to take photos of for you! Please leave me comments!!!

Thanks, 'cause you know I'm no computer genius!

This new Dustin Pike design was perfect for my Thank You for my friend at school who comes to my rescue whenever I goof up the Grade Quick system!

I colored the image with copics and bics, and did a quick inking around the edges. A little doodling on the computer generated message added the right color for me. And, you gotta love a banana with bling, so there are yellow Stickles on the computer!

Have a happy scrappy day, and I'm off to deal with the eighth graders this last Friday of the school year.... just 4 more days to go!!!

Happy Memorial Day

Before the picnics and parades, I wanted to post a little card I made with some of my forefathers in mind. My husband is a 24 year veteran, and my son is also a vet, so I appreciate the moments that we take to honor those who serve our Nation. However, Memorial Day is especially for those who gave ALL, and I remember going from cemetery to cemetery with my Grandmother placing flowers on the graves of her brothers, and other family members. My Dad is now gone, and he, too served. God bless them all. And to those who serve today... my nephew in Iraq, my niece and nephew who are training to go, and to all of your loved ones, God bless you all, and may He bring you all home safely. We know that Freedom Isn't Free.



The card is made from clip art, copic and bic markers, bling given to me by a friend, and paper from my stash.

Sunshine and Smiles!

Many thanks, and welcome to all of my new followers and subscribers! I have tried to get a new post ready for you, to say hello, and to share a fun new card or two....however, I have company, and they are SICK... :( I've been doing the "everyone is throwing up" laundry, and taking care of them the best I can. I will be sending you more sunshine and smiles as soon as all is better here. You take care, and stay well.
