EXploring PearlEX

For quite some time I have had a dozen bottles of Pearl EX in my stash,

so this week has been the time for EXploration! 

What an EXciting product!  These are pure powdered pigments, easily used in stamping,

faux finishing, clay work, stenciling, embossing, and lots of other media. 

The beautiful butterfly broach above is an altered soda can!

This Asian EXample began as plain purple paper. Sorry the lighting doesn't show the shimmer.

Digital Delights October Release!

I would love for you to meet Toby the Cat! Perhaps you are already friends with Toby, if you are familiar with Wendy's delightful characters over at Digital Delights by Louby Loo ... if not, I hope you will be sure to hop over and make their acquaintence!

Today is the begging of the holiday season with the announcement of the the October Releases! I am so honored to be asked to be on this Design Team, and to bring you one of the new images each month!

Toby is very close to my heart, as there is a real life Toby that is really special to me! You know how I love digital images for their versatility, and in this case, your kitty can be colored to look like a special kitty in your life ♥

Toby and his stocking full of treasures were colored with Copic Markers, and the scalloped pieces behind him were cut with the Storybook Cricut cartridge. The white layer was embossed with the Ornaments Cuttlebug Folder, and then highlighted with Pearl Ex Micro Pearl to give it a great shimmer (I wish you could see it in the photo!) The brim and ball of his hat are trimmed in Sparkle N Sprinkle's Snow White Sparkle Soft flocking, which gives dimension and a touch of glisten. The cuff of the stocking is also alive with light, with the addition of Sparkling Snow glitter! The paper is from a glitter stack entitled Glittered Christmas from Provo Craft, but there isn't any other identification.... sorry!

To Love, Honor, and Cherish

Wedding bells rang on Saturday for Danielle and Chris, and this card was made for them. It features D'vine Swirls embossing, Joys of Christmas turtle doves bedecked with Pearl Ex and pearl eyes, and the sentiment is stamped in silver pigment ink, then heat embossed in clear.
