A bit more fun with Bendy Cards .....

I have several events coming up, and Birthday Bendy cards are a perpetual favorite!  Here are a couple of quick and easy ones to try!

Each layer is held in place by strong magnets, and the decorating potential is practically limitless!

Just color your candles, flames, and add decorator paper.  The "icing" comes with your birthday cake kit, so you can have whatever flavor you decide to color it!

Trick or Treat

Halloween is upon us, and I have a few treats to share... mostly cards that I have made for family and friends.  I hope you will enjoy, since we ghouls just want to have fun!

A new stamp I picked up at Michael's this year.

Colored with Copics.  Love this cat!

The Count is from a Close to My Heart set and you can get it here.

The sentiment about Candy Corn is a very old one from my stash.

The Spider and Drippy Goo punches are Martha Stewart.

This one is for my Grandson P who has decided to be something

"scary" this year... a bat!  The stamps are 

Studio G Soloz collection (sorry about the glare).

The bat punch is from K @ Co. and the 

paper is from DCWV Ghosts & Goblins stack. 

I used Copics Opaque White and Smooch for the cloud and moon.

More Studio G stamps, Copics, and DCWV paper on this one, 

along with a bit of Glaze from Sakura.  

Our Jack-O-Lanterns are super easy this year!

This is a 3 liter soda from the Dollar Tree,

 (about 2/3 of the soda was gone and I just filled it with water!)

Add a vinyl, paper or drawn-on face,

a nice green bow,

color the lid with markers 

and you have a "no muss, no fuss" punkin!

This fun fellow was cut from the 

"Pumpkin Carving" Cricut cartridge.

Make a whole family with different size bottles :)

Happy Spring!

Are you ready to chase "Old Man Winter" out?  How about sending some cheerful, springy tulip cards with gingham or polka dot bunnies to usher in the warmth?  "Cards By The Yard" are ones that are such fun to make in multiples, and I bring you these today that will be perfect for welcoming Spring!

 I am using standard A2 size bases, Art Philosophy cartridge by Close to My Heart for the frame and tag, and Martha Stewart punches for the flowers and butterflies.  The bunny is my design from last year's Decor Bunny Project shrunk down to 1 1/2 inches.

Copics and a Crop

One of my favorite things to do is teach a class, and I've been honored to have that privilege a couple of times lately.  This week I will be teaching the Basics of Copics, both in my Studio, and on Tuesday night on my UStream Class.  I hope you will be able to join in!

Go from picture one to picture two in one easy lesson!  Learn the basics of blending, highlights, and different strokes.  We'll begin the start of shadows, etc. as well.

We will also begin with simple faces and hair!  Just like our own faces... blend, blend, blend!

Class will be at 8:00 eastern time on UStream, or the 16th and 19th here at Studio Bee, if you are close by and can come for a hands-on class.  Get your images, markers and let's color!

Cricuteer's Jungle Jive last weekend...

These are the ladies that spent the weekend at the crop, and we had SO much fun!

Including Jungle Jive Adventure Golf,,, very creative women... making golf clubs from whatever they could find!

Saturday's Midnight Madness was Refrigerator Bowling!  Just find whatever will work for pins and balls!  Divide up the teams, and keep score!  We had a blast... can't say the same for the lemons we used for bowling balls... LOL!!!  Congrats to Janet, our Rhino Trophy Winner!!

Lots of wonderful creations were actually done, as well!  Here are most of the ladies crafting away!

Easter Bunnies

Here's a funny little bunny box!

  I am teaching a class next week, and am working on some Easter projects, and wanted to share this Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge project with you...

this is my own take on the ice cream cone cut.

(For the class I will cut her in a bigger size.)

Here she is from the side, where you can see her cotton tail,

and a bit of the dimension of her face.

The top and bottom sections come apart, and are the perfect presentation for a special goodie!

The ribbon will be part of my April Ribbon kit.

A carry over from last week...

here is the "Boy" version of the card I did for my

Alcohol Markers class.  I have decided to frame these and

hang them in my granddaughter's room. 

One last note.  My apologies to those of you who were there for my class Tuesday evening.  I hope you found the message that Kathy was kind enough to post for me.... that I was in the ER with Bob the Babe, and that I was unable to have class.  He is home now, and resting comfortably.  Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers.  Remember there is no class on the 13th, but I will be back on the 20th with a lot of goodies for you!

"Letterpress" by Cuttlebug

This card (inspired by the most talented Becca Feeken at Amazing Paper Grace) features my take on

doing your own LETTERPRESS embossing.  I will be showing this, and several other techniques

on my UStream TV show tonight at 8:00 pm eastern time.  Just click on the icon in the upper right corner and it will take you to BettyBeeDesigns.  I hope you will be there!

This shows a bit closer view of the flags created with a Sizzix embossing folder, Heavenly Blue CTMH ink, and white cardstock. The roses are from Prima.  The ribbon is from my

March Ribbon Kit, and was custom colored with a Copic marker...very easy!

A Friend Is ...

 I have another card prepared for my class on using Alcohol markers, and this amused me... so I wanted to share it with you.  The post I did earlier had a sweet scene with the bunny and ducks that used 9 different markers.  Care to guess how many markers I used on this springy little message?

 (I will finish the inside with "share with; cry with; laugh with; shop with; room with; or care) depending on the occasion, when I send it.  This is a combination of two Close To My Heart stamp sets. The ribbbon is from my March Ribbon Kit.

Here they are.... 31 Markers!!! Made me laugh :)

Exploring Alcohol Inks

This sweet image was colored with Alcohol markers...

now, the question is was it with Copics, Sharpies, or Bics???

This darling old Daisy Kingdom stamp was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink

onto Beckett white cardstock, then colored with alcohol markers.

Thanks to Gina K at StampTV for the recessed image layout inspiration.

Add a satin ribbon from my April Ribbon Kit (coming soon!), a few Prima gems,

and it's a charming card to welcome Spring!

                       Here are a couple of examples done with the different types of markers. 

 I tried to keep it in the same color ranges, and the same number of makers,

 so you could see the comparison.

....and this shows the array of Bic markers I used on the other.

Here We Come A Caroling ...

and it's Tuesday Tutorial at Digital Delights.  I have enjoyed being a New Release Artist, and then Tutorial Artist for them for quite a while, but some family needs have made it necessary for me to say farewell to Wendy and the wonderful design team members.  This is my last video for them.  I hope you will enjoy learning to take her adorable digital images, and making them "come to life" like Frosty!!

Textured Table Favor for Breast Cancer

Time to "Think Pink", Girls! ........

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and I'm sure many of us are working on special projects for that worthy cause.  Today's Tutorial Tuesday video is a Table Favor, with a candy treat inside, that features Texture Plates to give the ribboned background.  It is a fast and effective decoration for almost any occasion!  I hope you like it!!

Is It Trick or Treat Yet?

I have missed you all!  I have been traveling for a long time, and when I got home, we found something REALLY SCARY!  Our house was covered in  HAIRY MILDEW!!  It was on our clothes, furniture, cabinets, and all sorts of stuff.... the good news is it wasn't on my craft paper... WHEW!!  Anyway, that accounts for my absence since we have been home... getting things back in safe, clean order around here.  Well, all of that creepy stuff has definitely put me in the mood for Halloween, so for Digital Delights video this week, I have called on Dracula Ridley and friends to come and play!  I have a video for you today, on how I put in the bay window, (or a flat window if that is what you have).  It's easy and very versatile... enjoy!
