It was my pleasure to host a card class on Monday night, and this is one of the fun cards we did....
The background was done by inking the raised side of the Cuttlebug folder with a dye base ink pad, placing the paper inside, and then running through the Cuttlebug, so the ink transferred to the impressed image.
The shamrock was made by stamping the heart image with Versamark, and heat embossing the image with white embossing powder, then cutting the hearts out with a heart punch. The stem was freehand cut with scissors, and a white gel pen was used for the dots. They were placed on the card with foam dots to give it dimension.
Cut a small slit in the edge of the card to run the ribbon through, and tie a bow, and you're finished!
St. Patrick used the three leaves of the shamrock for teaching about the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost...thus the significance of the three leaf clover with St. Patrick's Day. Enjoy!!
Another card tomorrow :D

CUTE! I love the ink-transfer trick you did...so clever! And thanks for explaining the three leaf clover...I was going to say you should have done FOUR, but now I see why you didn't!!
Love you, Mommy!!

Oh what a great card! I keep forgetting about using the hart stamps in a shamrock! LOL
Oh Betty, how pretty!!!..Love the heart stamp you used and how well it worked for the stamp punch...
I always wondered how you got the color so perfect on the embossing... thanks for telling me!
The card is great.
Wow Betty, it's stunning!
Wow Betty, it's stunning!
Loved the card. Which folder is this? I am new to Cuttlebug and don't recognized it. Thank you for the great idea! Loved it!
Jordanbev5, it is the Morrocan Screen embossing folder. If you ever want to find out what folder anyone is using, the easy way is to go to www.ProvoCraft.com and hit the products tab at the top. There is a Cuttlebug section, and there are places for the embossing folders. It's fun and easy to scroll through to see what is available, too! But, thanks for asking, which reminds me to try to remember to tell you which ones I use! Thanks for being a follower of my blog.
Happy crafting~
