Be Inspired Wednesday

Today's Challenge is to go visiting in the Garden, and check out the cute little critters there... And then create something fun!!

In my garden, I found quite an array of little friends --- and thankfully all with legs! LOL
(I suppose that is one nice thing about being in charge of your own garden, you get to choose who goes there!! No scary things in my garden!!)
I have chosen to create the cover for a Your Story book. These are so much fun to make, but the covers come plain, or with a single hole for a peek through, that aI thought a custom cover would be fun!

Here I have used the new Cricut Lite Cartridge, Lacy Labels, for the sign...though I added "friends" from Walk In My Garden. The background of the sign is embossed with Birds and Swirls and my Cuttlebug.

This little birdie comes to us from Straight From The Nest, and is Cuttlebugged with Ornamental Iron. She sits in a tree cut from Serenade, which has been embossed with Swiss Dots, and Script Texture.

Last, but not least, are my little friends at the bottom! The gecko is cut from Life's A Beach, and colored with Copic markers, and his eyes are shiny with a Sakura Glaze pen. His friend, the frog, is cut from the Paisley Cartridge and his eyes are colored in with an Elmer's Opaque Paint marker, and then with a Copic fine liner. His other highlights are also Copic. Their little friend, Miss Caterpillar is cut from Walk In My Garden, and she is very cute. (Sorry, her solo shot was blurry!) She is cut from beautiful shimmery gold paper, and she has blush cheeks, also from Copics, and she, too, was embossed with Swiss Dots along her body.

Well, you know the garden is a happy place for a Bee, so this was surely a fun project for me :)
It was for my fellow designers, as well! I hope you will pop over to Cuttlebug Challenge, and see what they have created for you, then give it a try for yourself.
I am off to create some very special projects for next week.
No Peeking!!! It's Christmas in July!!!

Happy crafting ~
