And She's got Purse-onality....

Do you remember that song? I know it'll be stuck in my head for a while...but that's okay! It's a great tune, and it's Purse-onality Week over at Cuttlebug Challenge! This week the designers have reached into their bags of tricks, and pulled out all sorts of wonderfully creative ideas for making purses! I just LOVE MINE, because it is a THANK YOU purse for a great friend. You see, she gave me the beautiful real purse that it is sitting on! How fun is that???
So, with my Cricut, and the Base Camp Cartridge I cut the perfect "C's" in forward and flip, so that I could re-create the cream colored background for my purse.

Next, I sanded the right shade of Core'dinations paper until it looked like Suede, and sewed it to the right lavender background paper, creating the outer decocrative band, as well as the two straps, and the tag.

The large gold colored circles were cut with Nestabilites Circle, the smallest size, then punched in the center with a large hole punch. There were jump rings and beaded chain added, and the tag was trimmed, punched with the Ticket Punch, and then stamped with a Martha Stewart "thank you" stamp and Creative Memories ink.

And here we have Purse-onality Plus!! These three lovelies were modeling the very latest in Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Research head gear on Sunday! This is me, Sandra and Joni!

I'm a "busy Bee" getting everything ready for our upcoming Viva La Divas Cricut Swarm!
I'll be back soon with lots more to share :)

Happy Crafting ~

Hey Betty, I luuuv your purse! It is the best purse I've seen so far. I came to your site via the Cuttlebug Challenge site, via June Houck's site. Her purse is darling, too. I copied your photos and bit of instructions. Do you have a template? I would love to try it. You are now part of my Google Reader sites! Thanks for sharing.

Those little purses look FABULOUS DARLING!! I've got to give these a try. Don't have a Cricut yet but know some friends who do. What a cute idea. Might have to use those for a little place tag/gift holder for a ladies lunch. They'll be a big hit I'm sure. Cool cool cool - great job! Marita S.

Betty, the circles you used were not real gold grommets. I thought they were. You did a great job.
