Be Inspired #16!
Okay, enough of the play on words...I love the blue and green color combo. The cards for the background and the solid green came in a note card kit, so they matched perfectly. The flower was from a great new kit from Imaginesce, and the ribbon is Kiwi dots from M's. I colored the clear stick-on rhinestones with Sharpie markers to make them blue and green to match.

Blessings
Hubby stopped by an antique mall today and brought me a vintage stamp, so I couldn't wait to give it a try. It's a pretty little floral arrangement - certainly not an antique, but sweet, all the same. I am fond of the purple and green combo, so with a few touches of pink, gold and pearls, this is what evolved. I must admit that using individual lettering stamps is not my favorite thing to do, as there's always so much space between the letters. Ah, well, this card will bless somebody's day. I hope your day is a blessed one.
Don't Worry ....

So Many Candles, So little Cake
How's this for dimensions?? I was blog hopping yesterday, and came across an awesome blogger named Colleen, who did gorgeous quilling, but sadly, I can't remember now what her blog address is, so that I can link to her...but when I come across her again, I will edit this so you can see her awesome work!! She did a Christmas card that had paper candles on it, and I couldn't get them out of my head....so here is my version. I ran plain cardstock through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder, then rolled them up, and added a shiny gold flame, made from a punched heart cut in half! So easy!!! The paper and chipboard are from Imaginisce, the ribbon from the Dollar Tree, and the rest from my stash. Sanding the Cuttlebugged whitecore cardstock makes a great focal point to give the birthday greeting. Give it a try!
Dryer Sheet Technique!
Thanks to my friend, Rosemary for sharing this fun technique with me! This image is softened with none other than the humble used dryer sheet!! I've used Close To My Heart Whimsey Garden for the flower and butterfly, and colored it with LePlume markers. Then the cardstock is run through the Xyron to make it sticky, add the dryer sheet, and then sprinkle on prisma extra fine glitter! WOW is this fun!!! I've added a few Stickles to the butterfly, and a few added finishing touches, and VOILA!! A "Thinking of You" card for today...what do you think???

Thank you to Ikki for the Blog Award!!!

This Lemonade Blog Award was such a lovely surprise from a wonderfully talented artist from the UK named Ikki, and I encourage you to check out her blog! I've seen this award before, and didn't know what it was about, and I am really touched because it is to recognize someone who shows a great attitude or gratitude. Awww. Thank you again, Ikki. Now it is my pleasure to pass this along to 5 other cyber-friends who have touched my life. It's a great way to show someone that you appreciate them; what their support means to you; and how you appreciate and love reading their comments. There are so many who qualify for this that it's hard to choose, but these five are definitely top notch!! Click on their names, and visit their sites! Hugs to all!!!
Now these ladies will pass this on to five who have touched their lives. Isn't this a great way to share a special lemonade day?!! Thanks again to Ikki! Hugs, BettyBee
Thinking of Ewe!
Lambie-pie has come out again, and is off to take some special greetings to some friends. This lamb is created with an Accent Essentials scallop, Cuttlebug D'vine Swirls embossing, and five petals of a seven petal flower from Walk in My Garden for the ears, face, and legs. Isn't that clever?! Many thanks to Dawn Griffith for the idea. She showed how to use a 5 petal SU punch (which I don't have) for this little fellow. The red section is also embossed with a Sizzix embossing plate, which I have discovered is best used with spritzed paper. The glitzy patterned paper is Cloud 9, and the decorative border punch is from Fiskars. The pink velvet trim is from my stash. I hand wrote the message, and will write my note inside. I hope 'Ewe" are inspired to send someone ewe are thinking of a note today!!

Cuttlebug Challenge #15
This week's Cuttlebug Challenge was just that...a challenge! We were to use this great PageMap to create a tall card, which, as my faithful followers know, is out of my comfort zone, as I usually make A2 size cards, but, like most exercise, it feels good after it's done!!! PageMaps do make it so much easier to stretch yourself! Give it a try :0)
Basic Little Black Dress
This stamp called to me to be done in basic black on glossy white card stock, and with a big shiny satin bow, finished with a fancy designer pin, it reminded me of that special little black dress that always felt SO GOOD whenever you slipped it on! You know what I mean :-) It even has the touch of classic pearls, and lace at the hem. (I just wish I had photographed it on another background so that it stood out a little better.) The stamp is Indadinkadoo, the border is doily lace from MS, and the rest is from my stash.

Mojo Monday - Better Late than Never
Last week was my first ever participation with Mojo Monday, and this is the card that I made, BUT it was also cyber-gremlin night, and I didn't get it uploaded to their site. Oh, well, here it is, and I am glad that I did it!!! Fluffles and friends are ready to PARTY!!! I haven't been one to try very many pagemaps, so I am really glad to give this a try. I have a couple on the desk right now....so stay tuned!!

Wild Thing!!!
This is one of those cards that just wouldn't be "quiet" until I got it made! I used this same sentiment on an elegant white card recently, and it reminded me of the lyrics of an old song...I just couldn't go with the next line...."You make everything ~ Groovy!" Anyway, the big ape and I had a lot of fun with this card! He is from Animal Kingdom, the heart and lettering are George, the branch is SYI, with stamps from CTMH and StudioG, and plenty of chocolate inking.

Saturday Sketch Hour

I chose chocolate and pink as my colors, and a brand new Indadinkadoo stamp as my central feature. The background is embossed with D'Vine Swirls. The flourishes are cut from Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge, and the little white flowers are Doodle-somethings (I took them out of the package, and I forget their exact name, sorry!) The tiny little pink gems are from the dollar store in the fingernail section! I hope you enjoy the card, and give the challenge a try yourself!!!

Shadowbox Card
This sweet stamp was a gift from Tori for my birthday! A friend asked for directions on how to do a shadowbox card today, so the tutorial from Dawn's Stampin' Thoughts was brought back today, and this is my first attempt. I think it turned out really cute! This card actually folds flat to fit into an envelope! Isn't it cute?!? Thanks, Tori, for the delightful new stamps, and the other wonderful goodies!
Oh, What an Honor!

Thanks so much to Joan for honoring me with my first blog award! Check out her beautiful blog! You will surely see that the beauty of art knows no language barriers! And, we almost share the same birthday, with the time zones :0)
Now, I am to share this award with 7 other lucky bloggers.....a very difficult decision to make, as there are so many of you who inspire me! I want to mention that Joan also chose my cyber friend Robyn, the PinkStamper, for this lovely award, too.
Okay, drum roll, please >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
And the 7 finalists are, in no particular order ......................................
OkieLadybugTake a bow, ladies, - and all of the rest of you who do such a wonderful job with your blogs, too! You are a true inspiration! Keep up the good work. You share so much of your talents and bring joy to so many. Check out their blogs! Happy scrapping!!

Happy Birthday Jeannene!
Oh, I wish the sparkle would show up on the picture like it does in real life! There is plenty of purple bling on this one for my friend!! The MS punch across the top and bottom are backed with adhesive, and then filled with gorgeous MS glitter, as is the star, and even the dot for the I in birthday! The lettering is from the new Calligraphy cartridge.

Thinking of Becca!
Our Anniversary Photo
We had dinner in a lovely Italian Restaurant, and our waitress took our picture. Sorry my new emeralds don't show up clearly! I think you can see the pendant, but my ring had slipped around on my finger :-( We had a really good dinner, and a nice quiet evening at home. 35 years and on to eternity XOXOXOXOX :-)
