New Blog Address!!!

I am proud to announce the "birth" of my new blog! I am working on a blog just for my card business called Betty Bee Designs. The address is http://BettyBeeDesigns.blogspot.com There will be a subscription feature there, too, so that you can keep up with all of my new designs as they are introduced. Thanks so much for your encouragement, comments, ideas, cheerleading, and enthusiasm. I am excited to keep going forward with this fledgling venture!!

Please keep coming back here for personal notes, pictures of the family, family history information, and more general "stuff". I just feel that I should be a little more "business like" with the cards, so that clients have a place to look at them and not have to scroll through so many personal pieces. The two blogs will be linked together in the favorites list.

Traveling

I'm off to chilly York, PA in the morning! But I am very excited about my trip. I am flying to Tori and Spencer's early tomorrow morning, and will get to be with them for a whole week. It will be so good to see them and the grandchildren! Bob, Barbie and Porter will be flying in Friday night, and it will be the first time the cousins will get to see the baby. We are all attending Jenny Ruth and Danny's wedding in Maryland on Sunday. We all head back home on Monday the 29th. I'll see you again then! Take care.

Porter at 14 weeks

I couldn't resist posting this new picture of Porter! He's just a doll baby, and I can't get over how big he is already. I'm so looking forward to seeing him in PA when we all go to Jenny Ruth's wedding on Sept. 28th. The whole "northern" family will get to meet him then. Sweet baby!

Get Well Soon

This features a Dahlia Folded Flower that I learned from Dawn's Stampin' Thoughts blog. Check it out! The dimensional leaves are from the Walk In My Garden cartridge. This card is for Sally's daughter who had surgery. We wish her a speedy recovery!

I am Thankful....

....for many things, especially being able to make cards for my friends and family. This one is my first Thanksgiving card for this year. The image is colored with Watercolor pencils and Baby Oil Gel, then glazed with Liquid Glass. The inside says "Happy Thanksgiving". I love fall!

A Little Birdie Told Me ......

well, he didn't really tell me anything.....yet....the inside is waiting for some special occasion, then I can finish this for a specific reason. Could it be someone's birthday, or someone isn't feeling well, or a BIG secret???? This card is ready for the occasion!

Cricut-mobile!!

Look who is riding around with me everywhere I go now!!! I went to the sign shop and asked for scraps of green vinyl....then off to DS to make my green buddy! He sure gets noticed!!!

Remembering September 11th

On Thursday,9/11, my friend, Claudia and I went to visit my Mom. The city of Punta Gorda, Florida has invited 21 wounded Marines and their families to come to town for a week of vacationing, and we stood along the road to welcome them. Here we are with my sister, Joni, and our friend, Diane. It was such an emotional experience. These men were so appreciative. They were treated to great accomodations, fine dining, the beach, boating and fishing, golf, and all sorts of recreation.....Thank you....for your service to our nation, and the sacrifices you and your families have made. God bless you all.

Still love pink and black!

Love is in the Air!

Danielle and Chris are getting married in November, and her shower was this weekend. I was asked to make some cards, and here they are! Best of everything, Danielle!

Wouldn't it be chilly with no skin on?

Another fun Paper Doll card, with the words from a silly song the kids used to sing when they were little! Now I've go the tune in my head!!! I think he's a really cute skeleton.

Trick or Treat! Got Cat Nip?

Dusty and Rusty are ready for Halloween already! Isn't this spooky? They were sitting on the roof, (don't ask me why?!?!?) and they kept looking left and right at the same identical time. Every time I tried to take their picture, they looked at the camera, and the light kept reflecting out of their eyes. Crazy Cats!! I love this picture!

I Want My Mummy!!!!!

These fun Halloween cards were made with the Paper Dolls Dress Up cartridge, and the background was embossed with Cuttlebug! I found the poem on the Cricut message board. Isn't it cute! My litte Mummy was brought to "life" with inking on the edges, and brown water color pencils for the shadowing, and a blender pen to soften it all around. Trick or Treat!!!

Libby Lou!

Isn't this the sweetest face? I could just eat her up! XOXOX This is my sister's Granddaughter, Elizabeth, and her Uncle Bret took several pictures of her, entered them into an AOL photo contest (where he works) and won! Congrats, Bret! Of course, with a face like that, the rest of them needn't show up!

Folded and ready to mail in the envelope.....

Cool! Pull the tab, and see what appears.......

Voila! A Pop-Up card that creates a box to sit up and hold the message! This is the latest rage on the message boards, and my first attempt. I think it is a great idea!!! Look for more of this to come! This will work for any occasion....... Happy Halloween! Boooooooooooo

New Babies!

Welcome to Scott and Kerri's new son, Lucas! Congratulations! This is their first little one :-)

And our niece welcomes her new baby, Grayson! Congratulations, Tammy and Greg! We are so happy for you. I'll bet Lauren is delighted with a new baby brother!! The paper is DCWV and the plane and banner are from New Arrival, and I colored them with water color pencils and baby oil gel (modified Gamsol technique).

One of my favorite phrases is: A boy is the only substance from which a man can be made. Isn't that a great one!?! So sweet, and so true! Love to all. Thanks for stopping by. I love your comments.

Skittle Bees and Birthday

These are a couple of fun cards I did from scraps today! It's fun to use parts and pieces in the scrap drawer. The Birthday card is from DCWV paper, and so are the flowers in the get well card. They are punched from a line of little squares. The vase is from Walk in My Garden.

One More Pup_up

I had another base card from the BBQ invitations. How about these cute sunflowers?! Yellow is a very cheerful compliment to the green. I haven't put a message on here yet....waiting until I need this card for a special reason. It's ready to go......
