My favorite photo - Madelyn Rose
Here she is! My only Granddaughter, Madelyn. (5 grandsons :-} ) She is wearing the new dress her Aunt Judy made for her baptism. Dotted swiss, and hand made ribbon embroidery.
Isn't she a beauty?

As you know, I was up in PA for my DGD's baptism recently, and this is what her Mom and I were doing until the wee hours of the morning! We decided that we wanted to make the programs with little blonde girls, like Madelyn, wearing dotted swiss dresses. My SIL Judy made her a gorgeous heirloom dress in dotted swiss and ribbon embroidery. We made 60 programs, and then decided to make table centerpieces for the dinner :-) The little dolls were two sided (with slips on inside), and are standing on "baptismal fonts" decorated with blue chalk and stickles! The room was really cute when you walked in and there were all of the little girls! Sorry I don't have a picture. Hurray for the Cricut!!! and the Cuttlebug, too :-)

RAK!!!!!

OMG! I have received a random act of kindness from a message board sister! The elusive "skittles" and a darling purse and card. What a wonderful surprise! These are the most fascinating little domes, and I so appreciate her sending them.

Diaper Cake and Game

This was a lot of fun! Thanks to one of the girls on the cricut mb for the idea (again, I was so new I didn't know to pay attention to who gave the idea at the time). It was fun to do, and decorated it with the babies fron New Arrival. The big baby on the left is a "pin the diaper on the baby" game. Big hit!

Sunny Days Card

This is another trifold image card.

The sun stamp is from M's and the
tulips are from Walk In My Garden.
There are stickles, chalks, embossing
and brush markers on this card.

Get Well Soon

Love this little lady! This was one of the image swaps from the message board. The green and pink paper is from Sonburn, the message is cut form Beyond Birthdays, and the little girl is colored with water color pencils and baby oil gel.

Trip to Jacksonville

Mom, Leilani and I had a great trip to Jacksonville to visit with Barbie and Craig. Her friends gave her a great baby shower! It's wonderful to see your children so well loved by friends when they don't live close to you.

We also enjoyed our trip in Mom's brand new "Jazzy-Belle"!!! A bright red 2008 Sebring Convertible! We were styling ... AND we found skittles in Michael's in Jax, too!

I'm posting a couple of cards I did before I left, and a couple of things that I did for the baby showers. I hope you enjoy them.

First Night as a Blogger

Tonight has been my first blogging night, and I did accomplish a lot! I'm happy to get a bunch of cards uploaded, and I hope to get some more done tomorrow. Thanks for looking!

Tomorrow my Mom, my friend, Leilani, and I are headed across the state on a great chick trip! We are going to a baby shower for DD Barbie on Saturday, and are making a weekend of it. Fun! I'll post new pics when I get back.

Hello Card
This little girl came from a great stamped image swap and was perfect for an April Color card challenge. It was to have Green, Pink and Yellow - I hope her yellow hair is enough :-) The paper is Sonshine, the white is embossed by cuttlebug, and the coloring is watercolor pencils and baby oil gel, a technique that I love.

Butterfly Card

This design card was scraplifted from one seen on someone's blog (sorry I can't remember where I saw it, but it made quite an impression on me). It is stamped on both sides of the paper. Stickles dazzle the wings of the butterflies, but it doesn't show up in the photos.

Baby Shower Invitation
This was the Baby Shower Invitation for DD's shower, and was so much fun to do. The paper was plain white CS, which I stamped with Studio G in CTMH Heavenly Blue. The words and Mommy are from New Arrival, and the rickrack is a DS adjustment of PlantainSchoolbook. Pictures of the Diaper Cake and Pin the diaper on the baby game to come!

Wishing You a Speedy Recovery

Wishing you a speedy recovery was done on the design studio with Opposites Attract. The cute little vellum dragonflies are made from doodlecharms. It's fun to have them on hand, and I can paint them any color, so they fit in with any design.

This Get-Well-Ephant is an autograph card for patients. She is 8 x 10 and comes with a pen, so she can record the good wishes of visitors. She is cut from New Arrival. She has been a big hit with friends who have had one.
Fuzzy Chick

This is my first attempt at the torn fuzzy mulberry paper critters. I didn't do a bear, but I wanted this little chick to sit on my cricut and keep me company.

Hang In Thee Monkey

Hang In There Card

Thanks to Susan Blue Robot for this great card for my BIL Ron who is recovering from major neck surgery. He will be in a halo for the next 4 months, and this little guy seemed just right for cheering him up. So easy to do with Design Studio and George.

Cuttlebug

This Get Well Soon card was the first I did with the new Sizzix impressions template in the cuttlebug. Also used the Cuttlebug imprint for the flower, and Beyond Birthdays for the get well message.

Cuttlebug

Thinking of You card was fun to do with Cuttlebug square, Design Studio to create the scallop edge and Studio G stamp for the message. The ink was from Close to My Heart. Love that Lime Green and Tropical Blue!
SympathyCard

This card was done for one of the Cricut MB girls when she lost her dear sister. The inside says "We feel a little bit of Heaven in our Home". The papers are the same as Tori's birthday card, and the Rose is from Walk in My Garden.

Happy Birthday to Tori

Birthday Card This is one of the fun cards I did recently. It was for Tori's (hmmm, hmmmm sshhhh 31st) birthday.

The paper is a great paisley print I got at Big Lots a while ago, and the purple is from the new solids from Sonburn CS - great paper. The flowers are from Walk In My Garden, and touched with Stickles.

I mail all of my A2 size cards in clear envelopes so the artwork can be seen all along the way! My friends in the USPS say they love it.

My First Posting

Tonight I am making my first step into the high tech world of the blog! Thanks to DS for helping get things started, but I don't know for sure how to do a lot of things...bear with me! I just hope that I'll be able to get my cards on here, so I can begin to share some of the designs I have done. I am very excited about moving forward with my cards, designs, and teaching. I have some students waiting for lessons, some customers waiting for cards, and a lot of friends and family I want to share with. Thanks so much for your encouragement. Please feel free to visit often, and leave all sorts of comments.
